I spend many years working in the pharmaceutical industry but always felt a desire to become a counsellor. Finally, some years ago I decided to follow my passion and train to be a counsellor.
Having had some incidents in my life I too turned to counselling for support. I know first-hand the value it holds for anyone’s mental health and wellbeing. I wanted to do the same for others; to listen and provide support and thus started on my journey to become a counsellor.
Psychodynamic therapy digs deep into the unconscious and it allows us not just to explore what happening in your life today but also childhood experiences. I found this extremely helpful and gave me a better understanding my myself.
The counselling modality I work with is psychodynamic. I offer all clients a safe space to talk about whatever their concerns and difficulties maybe.
Whether it’s online or face to face clients experience a professional and confidential therapy space, allowing you to explore your thoughts and feelings safely in an impartial environment, where you will be respectfully listened to, feel supported with no judgement.
My role is not giving advice or problem-solving, but to sit beside you on your journey as we explore your thoughts and feelings.
Psychotherapy often involves more in-depth work. It involves looking at the unconscious and deep-seated issues which affect a person's relationship with themselves and others.
I have professional indemnity insurance and am a member of The National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS)
